Chicken saltimbocca recipe

In Italian, saltimbocca means jump in your mouth and these irresistible prosciutto and sage topped chicken breasts will do just that.

Chicken Saltimbocca Recipe
Prepare time 10 min.
Grill Time 10 min.

Serves 4 main dish

Ingredients

  • 4 medium skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (114 pounds)
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 18 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 fresh sage leaves
  • 4 large slices prosciutto (4 ounces)

Directions

  1. Prepare outdoor grill for covered direct grilling over medium heat.
  2. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Place 3 sage leaves on each breast half. Place 1 prosciutto slice on top of each breast half, tucking in edges if necessary; secure with toothpicks.
  3. Place chicken, prosciutto side down, on grill, cover and cook 5 to 6 minutes. Turn and grill until chicken loses its pink color throughout, 5 to 6 minutes longer.

Don't slice the prosciutto paper thin or it could burn.
