Nutella Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Cake

  • 6 eggs
  • 12 cup (120 g) sugar
  • 1.2 cup (180 g) flour
  • 1 baking powder
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 4-5 tablespoons Nutella

Filling

  • 2 cups (500 ml) cream
  • 5 tablespoons Nutella

Topping

  • 0.8 cup (200 ml) of water
  • 5 tablespoons sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F (180C) and line springform pans with parchment paper or rub it with butter.
  2. Cake :

  3. Separate the white from the yolk. Stir eggs yolks and add 14 cup sugar and mix with electric mixer until fluffy. Stir eggs whites with the other half sugar beat until stiff. Put in the egg yolks Nutella and mix well.
  4. Add 13 of eggs whites (stiff) and gradually sifted flour mixed with baking powder; then add the remaining eggs whites and stir everything together. Bake at 350 F(180°C) degrees for half an hour, until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Remove the cakes and let cool and cut into 3 layers.
  5. Filling :

  6. Beat whipped cream and add 5 tablespoons Nutella.
  7. Topping :

  8. In a medium saucepan combine 5 tablespoons sugar and 0.8 cup (200 ml) water. Bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Brush each layer of cake separately for extra moisture. Spread whipped cream with Nutella on cake layer with 13 cream. The last 13 cream is for coating the cake or for decoration . You can also coat the cake with chocolate glaze.
  9. Chocolate glaze :

  10. In a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water, combine 200 g chocolate and 150 g butter and a bit milk . Stir until chocolate and butter are melted and mixture is smooth. Spread warm glaze over top of cake.
